Substrate Lab is experimental, non-production, non-canon, and not an implementation claim.
Demo 1

Source → Claim → Review → Canon

Substrate treats knowledge as something that moves through gates. A source can inspire a claim, but the claim does not become durable until it is reviewed, bounded, and accepted by the right authority.

1

Source

Raw material: transcript, issue, test result, document, incident, or external reference.

2

Claim

A specific statement extracted from the source, with scope and evidence boundary.

3

Review

Human and/or model review checks evidence, wording, authority, dissent, and failure modes.

4

Canon

Only accepted claims enter durable governance state. Everything else remains working material.

What this prevents

Unreviewed model output becoming truth because it sounded useful.

What this preserves

Useful drafts, failed attempts, dissent, and lessons can remain visible without becoming canon.

What this does not claim

This static demo does not prove the production system enforces these gates automatically.
